About the position

As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting systems hosted in our Private Cloud and performing system administrative functions such as patch management, trouble-shooting hardware, application and OS issues, and deploying customer environments using Windows Server and Linux in a highly secure service provider environment.

Responsibilities

• Staging and deploying Windows OS images on servers
• Coordinating and leading routine system patching and general administration on Windows and Linux servers
• Providing Level 1 technical support for security related issues
• Maintaining IT asset management system
• Active Directory Subject Matter Expert
• Developing and maintaining system documentation
• Participating in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation schedule

Requirements

• BS/BA in computer science or information systems
• 3+ years system administration experience in a Windows server environment
• Proficient with Windows Power Shell or other current scripting languages
• Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals and common protocols such as FTP, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS
• Experience with various systems management, monitoring, diagnostic, and troubleshooting tools
• Understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities
• Certification in vendor or industry technologies, e.g. Microsoft, Linux, etc.
