About the position

The Cloud Technical Project Manager at MSM Technology LLC will oversee the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cloud Engineering and Operations tenant projects, focusing on customer migrations to DHS GovCloud. This role involves managing project delivery for cloud migration work across multiple customer tenants, ensuring alignment with customer objectives, and maintaining high standards of quality and performance. The Cloud PM will serve as the primary interface for customers, track project progress, and manage contract deliverables while promoting continuous improvement in cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer migrations from data centers to DHS GovCloud.
• Serve as the primary customer interface and conduct meetings to track progress.
• Manage project delivery of cloud migration work (Azure and AWS) for 50+ customer tenants.
• Create and track all Cloud Engineering and Operations work in Jira.
• Manage contract deliverables, including weekly and monthly reports.
• Present and conduct customer meetings to report on progress and align tasks with customer objectives.
• Enforce quality standards for engineered solutions and promote continuous improvement.
• Escalate issues to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in an IT-related environment.
• 3 years of IT experience managing, building, operating, and improving Cloud Computing environments in Azure or AWS.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for customer interaction and client negotiations.
• Experience leading and collaborating with diverse technical teams.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud environments, particularly in Government settings.
• Experience managing work in Jira or similar work tracking systems.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports.

Nice-to-haves

• Cloud practitioner-level certifications for Azure and AWS.
• Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust Security Clearance.
