About the position

The Cloud Virtual Endpoint Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Virtual Endpoint solutions within the Azure Cloud environment. This role focuses on automating processes, ensuring the health and performance of virtual environments, and providing technical support to end-users. The engineer will work closely with other teams to deliver seamless virtual desktop and application experiences while managing disaster recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Virtual Endpoint (VE) solutions to meet organizational requirements.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Omnissa Horizon infrastructure and Cloud Virtual Endpoint environments in the Azure Cloud.
  • Oversee desktop pools, application pools, and instant clones.
  • Ensure the health, performance, and availability of the VE environments through regular updates and patches.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to connectivity, performance, and compatibility.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the VE environment, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Generate reports on VE performance, usage, and capacity planning.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery of virtual desktops and applications.
  • Manage disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud-based systems.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Terraform, PowerShell, and GitHub pipeline.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud, specifically Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Omnissa Horizon infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Virtual Endpoint environments.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for virtual environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
