About the position

The Cloud Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions. This position is crucial for ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of our cloud environment, while also focusing on optimizing performance and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive innovation in cloud deployments. In this role, the Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions utilizing Azure, IIS, ASP.net, NIST guidelines, web services, and SQL. The engineer will work closely with various teams to gather, define, and document cloud architecture best practices and requirements. Additionally, the role involves developing and deploying scalable and secure web applications on the cloud platform, monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure performance, and making recommendations for optimization and improvements. Security is a key focus, and the Cloud Engineer will implement and maintain security measures to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards. Collaboration with developers is essential to ensure proper integration of front-end and back-end components. Furthermore, the Cloud Engineer will provide technical assistance and mentorship to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions using Azure, IIS, ASP.net, NIST, web services, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, define, and document cloud architecture best practices and requirements.
  • Develop and deploy scalable and secure web applications on the cloud platform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, making recommendations for optimization and improvements.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure proper integration of front-end and back-end components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven Cloud Engineer experience with expertise in Azure, IIS, ASP.net, NIST, web services, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, cloud platforms, and cloud services.
  • In-depth knowledge of IIS and ASP.net, with the ability to design and deploy web applications.
  • Experience with NIST guidelines and best practices for cybersecurity and compliance.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and the ability to write efficient queries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
