About the position

The Club Assistant General Manager (AGM) at the Sonnenalp Club is responsible for the overall management and operation of the club, ensuring exceptional guest service across all departments. The AGM will lead a team to provide top-tier experiences in golf, dining, and membership services, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. This role requires a seasoned hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury service environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service and setting high standards for staff.
  • Evaluate service through member satisfaction surveys and secret shop reviews.
  • Monitor and address member feedback, proactively resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee all aspects of golf operations, including course maintenance and scheduling.
  • Manage food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain members and enhance engagement.
  • Ensure proactive management of the membership sales program.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective measures.
  • Lead board meetings and interact with community members regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service and enhance member satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of golf operations and food & beverage management is highly desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office, web-based systems, and POS systems required.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
