About the position
The Club Head Soccer Coach will lead competitive boys and girls soccer programs, focusing on player development and enjoyment. This part-time role involves creating engaging practice plans, conducting player assessments, and collaborating with various teams to ensure a positive and inclusive environment. The coach will also be responsible for preparing players for matches and representing the club positively in the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging practice plans for players.
- Emphasize individual and team skills enhancement during practices.
- Ensure thorough match preparation, focusing on strategic and tactical aspects.
- Deliver comprehensive player evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate in assessing and selecting players during annual tryouts.
- Attend all scheduled events promptly and dress in appropriate club attire.
- Conduct a minimum of two weekly winter practices from December to March 1st.
- Lead two weekday evening practice sessions and one Saturday practice session during the spring season.
- Participate in two tournaments, one in early March or April and one over Memorial Day weekend.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience with youth soccer teams, preferably at the U17 level.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Passionate about player development and fostering a positive team culture.
