About the position

As a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer at Amazon, you will lead design projects in operational data centers aimed at remediating issues, upgrading existing infrastructure, or adding new services. This role involves providing lifecycle support from design through implementation, ensuring the highest standards for safety and security while optimizing capacity and sustainability in AWS data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design projects for operational data centers to remediate issues and upgrade infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review short circuit coordination studies and maintain software models to match as-built site conditions.
  • Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for data centers in your region.
  • Interface with internal and external teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across different geographical regions.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert during new remediation projects.
  • Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Coursework in commercial/industrial power systems and/or mechanical systems.
  • Organized with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and budget.
  • Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using various web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
