About the position
Central Market is seeking a dedicated Production Representative to join our team in Plano, TX. This full-time position requires availability for days, evenings, and weekends, as the role involves handling the freshest quality ingredients across various departments in the store. The Production Representative will be responsible for a range of tasks that ensure the highest standards of product quality and customer service are met. The primary duties of this position include mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping, and stocking products. The Production Representative will ensure quality control of all products before they are sent to the sales floor, maintaining sanitation and organization in the department. This includes managing back storage, freezers, walk-in areas, and production spaces. The role also involves reading and executing daily production lists to ensure efficient workflow. Customer service is a key component of this position, as the Production Representative will be required to answer questions, take orders over the phone, and provide superlative customer service. Additionally, the representative will assist in monitoring the quality of goods, manage shrink, and maintain transfer records. Responsibilities also include prepping, wrapping, pricing, selling, and continuously stocking products, as well as preparing customer samples for self-serve. The ideal candidate will utilize suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities

- Demos or prepares customer samples for self-serve.
- Using suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
Requirements
- Experience with commercial production preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.).
- Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to work overnight and flexible schedules (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Knowledge and preparation of baking goods preferred.
