Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in providing medical care.
• Performing accurate data entry of charges on patient accounts and registering patients.
• Verifying insurance and recording relevant statistics.
• Scheduling patient appointments and answering phone inquiries.
• Keeping providers informed of changes and communicating patient benefits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in the state of employment is required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
