About the position

Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse.
- Assist residents with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes related to resident care.
- Communicate changes in resident conditions and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
- Assist with food preparation and dining, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas for residents.
- Encourage residents to participate in wellness and recreational programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Certified Medication Aide certification required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Must complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain continuing education credits.
