About the position

The CMM Programmer/Inspector role involves measuring and inspecting high-tolerance aerospace components using both basic and advanced tools. The position is critical in ensuring product conformance to specifications and involves programming and operating CMM machines. The role is situated in a precision-focused environment that emphasizes quality and accuracy in aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Measure parts using basic tools such as micrometers, calipers, pins, height stands on surface plates, and advanced tools such as vision systems and manual or programmable CMMs.
• Program and run basic to advanced CMM programs.
• Utilize control plans and inspection instructions to evaluate product for conformance.
• Prepare inspection reports and certification packages per customer requirements.
• Document results in a clear and concise manner.
• Perform basic to advanced inspection tests.
• Perform basic to advanced assembly tasks.

Requirements

• 2-year tech degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tight tolerance machining with high precision machining experience.
• Experience working in a tight tolerance environment.
• GD&T Certificate preferred.
