About the position

The CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector role involves inspecting aerospace parts using various precision measuring instruments and CMM technology. The position is essential for ensuring quality control in the manufacturing process, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace parts using hand tools such as micrometers and calipers, as well as vision systems and Zeiss CMM.
• Perform 1st article, bench inspection, finals, and in-process inspections for aerospace parts.
• Read and interpret customer-supplied blueprints and check each part against the blueprint specifications.
• Interact constantly with the production team to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use and interpret data from inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauge blocks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in blueprint reading.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing.
• 1 year of experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Solid experience with CMM programming, setup, and operation, particularly with Zeiss CMM.
• Ability to work with very close tolerances and GD&T.
