Responsibilities

• Programming CMM Inspection machinery with PC DMIS Software
• Inspecting complex and intricate mechanical parts and fixtures using CMM Machine
• Determining acceptable quality of parts and notating the reason for any rejections
• Using existing and creating new inspection setups to check dimensional requirements pertinent to product design
• Assisting in resolving day-to-day inspection problems regarding methods, devices, and corrective action
• Working from complex and involved drawings and specifications
• Performing surface plate inspection as required to obtain or validate key features

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years' experience in manufacturing inspection
• Experience with PC DMIS, CAD tools, GD&T, and general CMM programs
• Working knowledge of various handheld inspection devices as well as coordinate measuring machines
• Ability to interpret manufacturing process sheets
• Highly organized and able to cross train in different areas of the shop
• Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor to meet customer demands
• Excellent attention to detail and able to work independently
