About the position

The CMM Programmer position at Multimatic involves programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS software. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, and ensuring quality control through various testing and auditing processes. The programmer will work closely with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues related to non-conforming materials and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Run parts using PC-DMIS Software package
• Program CMM using CAD through PC-DMIS
• Collect and analyze/interpret data
• Utilize SPC tools for quality control
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Apply knowledge of GD&T
• Conduct destructive testing of welds for correlation studies
• Manage non-conforming materials and inventory
• Sort through non-conforming material for disposition
• Perform capability studies and analyze process variances
• Conduct extra testing required for validation after quarantine
• Problem solve with operations to determine root causes of material holds
• Perform control plan audits and update with engineers
• Conduct annual dimensional layouts per customer requirements
• Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits
• Issue gages to production as necessary
• Assist with 8D assignments on customer rejects
• Generate new forms/work instructions/checksheets
• Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned
• Write Operator Instructions for new gages

Requirements

• Experience with PC-DMIS Software
• Ability to program CMM using CAD
• Strong data collection and analysis skills
• Experience using SPC tools
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of GD&T

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in conducting destructive testing
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Ability to perform capability studies
