About the position

The CMP Process Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. is responsible for ensuring safety and quality in the manufacturing process. This role involves collaborating with various teams to resolve tool process issues, managing projects, and analyzing data to drive cost reduction activities. The engineer will also be involved in writing and modifying recipes for efficient tool processing and facilitating audits to maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Follow-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and work towards resolution with stakeholders.
  • Perform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety issues.
  • Proactively reduce incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards, or environmental releases.
  • Follow proper change management practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met.
  • Partner with shift teams to resolve tool process issues and maximize tool output.
  • Collaborate with supervisor and area leaders to create personal performance and development goals.
  • Communicate proactively with MDE shift and Shift Ops leaders on daily priorities and issues.
  • Write and modify recipes to enable efficient tool processing and experimentation.
  • Analyze data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities.
  • Resolve CT/capacity related issues in the area (redundancy, target reduction, sample plans, RPT issues, etc.).
  • Manage projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Track actions and provide escalation path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on time.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
