About the position

The CMP Revenue Cycle Analyst at Crouse Hospital plays a crucial role in the Revenue and Reimbursement team, responsible for providing timely and accurate financial data and services to maximize hospital reimbursement from third-party payors. This position involves preparing reports, evaluating system processes, and managing denial resolutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares, develops, and distributes reports and analysis tools for various departments in a timely and organized manner.
• Regularly conducts system processes and evaluates effectiveness.
• Proactively researches and identifies improved methods for report delivery to enhance workflow.
• Identifies system issues and proactively researches and develops action plans for resolution.
• Coordinates activities of staff responsible for charge capture, coding, charge entry, billing, insurance follow-up, reimbursement analysis, or other financial functions.
• Responsible for denial management, which includes researching, analyzing, resolving, and trending denials specific to the revenue cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience working in professional healthcare billing, reporting, and/or analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Visio.
• Experience with Medent software is preferred.
