About the position
The CMT Equipment Calibration Technician role at National Calibration Inc. involves working in a fast-paced, quality-first environment to provide calibration and repair services for various test and measurement equipment. The position requires a commitment to learning proper calibration techniques, quality processes, and customer service, while ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards. Technicians will work closely with the Corporate Office and Regional Manager to meet operational requirements and contribute to the team's success.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment including Electronics, Force, Linear, Torque, Pressure, Weight, and Nuclear Gauges.
- Prepare calibration reports in accordance with ASTM/ASME standards.
- Review data for accuracy and completeness.
- Test and inspect construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt for quality control/quality assurance.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Office and Regional Manager on calibration tasks.
Requirements
- Basic math and writing skills.
- Laboratory experience with calibration processes.
- Familiarity with ASME codes and standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to lift and carry weights of 30 to 50 lbs. and up to 80 lbs. periodically.
- Willingness to learn and understand the Quality System and ISO 17025 standards.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous construction materials testing experience preferred.
- Experience with physical/dimensional and basic electronics test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
