About the position
The CNA I - PRN position at Haywood Regional Medical Center involves providing basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
- Monitor vital signs and record intake and output.
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- Report abnormal findings or changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Keep patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Acute care patient experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment are required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Certified Nursing Assistant license in North Carolina.
