About the position
Join First Choice Nurses as a passionate and committed LPN for per-diem and local contract opportunities in Hampton Roads and surrounding cities. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients while working in a supportive environment that values frontline staff.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in a professional and considerate manner.
- Delegate duties to CNAs to provide the highest level of care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to the MAR and TAR following MD orders.
- Provide wound care to patients by following MD orders.
- Admit or discharge patients following facility protocol and MD orders.
- Perform ongoing assessments on patients by following MD orders.
- Explain medications and treatments to patients and family members following HIPAA and facility protocol.
Requirements
- Covid Vaccine
- 1 year Experience Minimum
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Updated PPD (within 1 year)
- Active LPN/CNA License
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds without restrictions.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long hours without restrictions.
- Must be able to bend and lift without restrictions.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Understanding confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry.
