About The Position

The CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) position in Med/Surg involves providing basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses. The role requires the ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. The CNA must convey empathy and compassion to patients experiencing grief, pain, or trauma, and report any changes in patient condition to other staff members. The working environment is inside, protected from the weather but subject to frequent exposure to infection, contagious diseases, and hazardous materials. The position requires physical demands such as lifting, standing, and walking continuously.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CNA Certification
  • CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CNA experience in acute care
