About the position
The CNA / PCA / Caregiver / HHA position at Always Best Care Senior Services involves providing compassionate care to seniors in their homes. The role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients through various support services, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.
Responsibilities
- Bath/Groom/Dress clients
- Provide transportation services and basic errands (pharmacy, grocery store, etc.)
- Prepare meals and conduct light housekeeping
- Remind clients to take medications
- Assist with mobility
- Provide toiletry assistance
- Offer companionship to help seniors enjoy their interests (attending senior centers or church, playing board games or cards, reading books, watching movies, taking walks)
- Maintain a detailed record of services provided and client's current conditions through the online portal
- Notify Care Coordinator of major changes or incidents during shifts
Requirements
- Clean criminal background check
- Live Scan / Fingerprinting
- Reliable transportation with insurance
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (Compliant with I-9 requirements)
- Formal training or experience in the home care field or school for at least 6 months is desired
- CPR/First Aid certification, TB test or chest X-ray required
- CNA License desired
