About the position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) provides essential personal care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. This role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The C.N.A. also plays a vital role in documenting residents' activities and vital signs, contributing to the overall quality of care provided in the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, grooming, and oral hygiene.
  • Assist residents with ambulation and ensure they receive adequate fluids and food throughout the shift.
  • Record information regarding residents' activities of daily living.
  • Perform vital signs and weigh residents as directed by the licensed nurse.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe unit for residents.
  • Support residents and their families to feel cared for and appreciated.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a C.N.A. program from an educational institute.
  • One year of experience in patient/resident care is preferred.
  • Current C.N.A. License.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Positive customer service skills.
