About the position

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CNC Commissioner to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the setup, installation, and commissioning of CNC equipment at customer facilities, ensuring all systems operate as intended. You will also troubleshoot, repair, and provide on-site technical support to resolve issues, while collaborating with various departments to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone with a solid technical background who enjoys working directly with customers and is committed to maintaining equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new or modified CNC equipment, ensuring that systems are set up to meet customer specifications.
  • Analyze performance data and inspect malfunctioning equipment to determine the root cause of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, customer service, and internal teams to identify and resolve issues quickly, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide on-site support to troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment, offering hands-on assistance to restore functionality.
  • Keep detailed records of installations, service calls, technical reports, and diagnostic findings to track performance and improvements.
  • Identify recurring technical issues, evaluate trends, and propose design or process changes to prevent future challenges.
  • Develop service documentation, handbooks, and bulletins based on field experience and engineering updates to support internal teams and customers.
  • Lead training sessions for customers and internal staff on the proper operation and safe handling of CNC equipment.
  • Act as the primary contact between the customer and our company, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of any technical concerns.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year technical school, OR 6-12 months of related experience and/or training, OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment or similar machinery, with an understanding of its technical aspects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage customer relationships and maintain satisfaction during challenging situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, customer service, and other teams to achieve resolutions.
  • Able to quickly identify issues and determine effective solutions in a timely manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • CNC programming experience of 1 year (Required)
  • Willingness to travel 50% (Preferred)
