The CNC Machinist position at Johnson Centrifugal Technology involves the setup and operation of large diameter Computer Controlled VTL Lathes and Horizontal Milling Machines. This role is essential for the centrifugal casting and manufacturing of various metal alloys for both government and civilian customers. The company offers a supportive work environment with a focus on work/life balance, featuring a 4-day work week and no weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate large diameter Computer Controlled VTL Lathes.
  • Operate 4" Horizontal Milling Machines.
  • Perform machining tasks on stainless steel, aluminum, nickel, and copper alloys.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met during machining processes.
  • Participate in the state apprenticeship program to advance CNC skills.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience required.
  • Experience with milling on smaller equipment is a plus.
  • Must have own tools for the job.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in centrifugal casting processes.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality control standards.
