About the position

As a CNC Field Service Engineer at KRC Machine Tool Solutions, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with servicing, repairing, and operating CNC machine tools. This role requires the use of precision test equipment to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems. You will be expected to have advanced operation skills with CNC controls from different manufacturers and will coordinate and complete the installation of all machine tools. Close collaboration with customers, vendors, OEMs, and other KRC personnel is essential, as you will independently organize and complete successful service calls. Additionally, you will assist other service engineers and preventive maintenance technicians, and while general scraping and fitting of machine tool components is not mandatory, it will enhance your value in this role. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuitry to the component level and performing a variety of advanced specialized machine tool repair processes. You will dismantle and prepare machines for shipment, level and align machines, and troubleshoot and repair major machine tool problems. Disassembling, repairing, and rebuilding machine tool sub-assemblies and assemblies will also be part of your duties. You will need to organize, tag, and mark components for future assembly, identify, repair, or replace damaged components, and conduct first-time power-ups and troubleshooting of machines. Additionally, you will be responsible for servo system tuning, timely reporting of activities and expenses, training other employees for advancement, and training customers on the operation of CNC control systems. Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area is crucial, as is the ability to travel to customer facilities often and on short notice, working with very limited supervision. KRC Machine Tool Solutions is committed to providing competitive wages and excellent benefits, including training and tuition reimbursement, company-paid uniforms and cell phones, a company truck for field service engineers, paid vacation, sick time, and holidays, as well as comprehensive health insurance, vision, life, dental, long and short-term disability, a 401k profit-sharing plan, and a referral bonus program of $2500.
