The CNC Grinder Operator position at B&W/Diamond Power involves operating various types of grinding machines in a union shop environment. The role requires a focus on precision and quality, ensuring that parts are properly machined and inspected throughout the process. The operator will be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring continuous operation by checking oil and coolant levels daily.
Responsibilities
- Operate ID Grinder, Centerless Grinder, CNC Step Grinder, and Surface Grinder.
- Burr, clean, and protect parts as required.
- Inspect work in process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Check oil and coolants daily to maintain continuous operation.
Requirements
- 3 years' experience performing machine setup and operation of precision grinding equipment.
- Proficient in blueprint reading.
- Ability to utilize machine shop measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and various gauges.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
