About the position

Micro Gauge is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to fabricate both metallic and non-metallic parts. The position offers a hands-on opportunity in a friendly, smaller work environment, making it ideal for those looking for a dynamic and engaging workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for new products
  • Work with Design Engineer to determine the most effective workholding for new products
  • Control all machine program data
  • Organize machine setup priority and sequence with engineering
  • Collaborate with engineers during setup to mark-up necessary documentation changes or required clarifications
  • Ensure implementation of documentation changes
  • Review machine concerns with supervisors to determine if it is maintenance or engineering
  • Implement process improvements to reduce setup time and machining.

Requirements

  • 5 years of CNC programming experience (preferred)
  • 5 years of experience with Fanuc controls (preferred)
  • Proficient in M&G Code Programming for CNC Lathe and 4 axis CNC Mill
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience with SolidWorks CAM and Macro Programming is desired
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is desired
  • Machine setup and operation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with live tooling on CNC Lathe
  • Understanding of Fanuc G-code programming.
