About the position
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC lathes and will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, interpreting technical drawings, and conducting quality control checks to ensure that all products meet specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes according to production schedules and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Perform regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the machining process.
- Conduct quality control inspections of finished products, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in training new operators on CNC lathe operations and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Some experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role within a manufacturing facility.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to measure parts using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
