About the position

As a CNC Machinist at Employ Partners, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by utilizing your skills to read, interpret, and execute tasks based on mechanical blueprints. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each part is crafted to exact specifications, which requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of both metric and imperial measurements, including fractions and decimals. You will be tasked with manufacturing both small and large precision parts, adhering to exacting standards that are essential for quality production. In this position, you will set up, operate, and break down CNC machines with meticulous attention to detail. This includes performing rigorous quality checks to compare finished parts against blueprints for consistency and accuracy. You will utilize various measuring tools, such as gauges and calipers, to ensure that all parts meet tolerance requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials while maintaining alignment with blueprint specifications, which may involve heavy lifting to manage materials and parts effectively. You will also have the opportunity to operate multiple machines concurrently, depending on cycle time, and will be responsible for setting tooling offsets and picking up fixture offsets. Quality inspection will be a key part of your role, utilizing tools like optical comparators. Programming tasks will include creating circles, arcs, drilling, tapping, boring, and programming lathes using canned cycles, as well as O.D. and I.D. turning. This position offers a competitive pay structure based on experience, with opportunities for growth and overtime, all while enjoying a three-day weekend every week.
