About the position

The CNC Machinist Level III position at Flowserve involves setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and functionality of mechanical instruments and machine tools, contributing to the company's commitment to innovative flow control solutions. The position operates on the third shift, from 10 PM to 6 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and offers a sign-on bonus for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments as needed.
  • Maintain and repair equipment by assisting with preparations and repairs.
  • Follow mandatory work instructions to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ensure operational compliance with quality standards and regulatory codes.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and dial indicators.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and maintain courteous interactions.
  • Understand and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience running CNC machines.
  • Ability to operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks.
  • Experience in operations management and following established processes.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Ability to interpret and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and prioritizing activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating CNC lathes/mills.
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
