Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to drill and ream metal parts.
• Select, measure, assemble, and set machine tools using precision gauges and instruments.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools and workpieces on machines using hand tools.
• Calculate and set machine controls to position tools and regulate cutting parameters.
• Load control media and enter commands to retrieve programmed instructions.
• Start automatic operations of numerical control machines and test setups.
• Resolve machine malfunctions and production errors in consultation with supervisors or programmers.
• Maintain machines and replace broken or worn tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of CNC Lathe experience.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Experience in blueprint reading.
• Customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves
