About the position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machine tools, modifying G code, writing simple CNC programs, and performing quality inspections during the process and on finished products. The role requires an understanding of machining limits, speeds, feeds, and work holding devices. Maintaining a low scrap/rejected part rate is crucial. This position is fully on-site in Winchester, Virginia, and is integral to our manufacturing process, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. The CNC Machinist will work closely with other team members to optimize production processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools.
  • Modify G code and write simple CNC programs.
  • Perform quality inspections during the machining process and on finished products.
  • Understand and apply machining limits, speeds, feeds, and work holding devices.
  • Maintain a low scrap/rejected part rate.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a CNC machinist.
  • Experience in setting up and operating CNC and manual machine tools.
  • Ability to modify G code and write simple CNC programs.
  • Experience using manual inspection tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and drawings.
  • GibbsCAM programming experience.
  • Understanding of technical drawings with GD&T dimensioning.
