About the position

The CNC Machinist position at Aerotek involves maintaining the day-to-day operations of automated production CNC machine cells. The role includes setting up, running, and inspecting parts while troubleshooting common manufacturing issues. The machinist will utilize a structured in-house training program to become proficient in using the machine's tooling and troubleshooting tools to ensure optimal performance and prevent tool failure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day operations of automated production CNC machine cells.
• Set up, run, and inspect parts throughout the shift.
• Troubleshoot common manufacturing issues.
• Use tooling and troubleshooting tools to correct cutting issues before tool failure.
• Make necessary changes to correct the root cause of issues.

Requirements

• Fluency in using CNC machine tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot tools that are cutting improperly.
• Experience with CNC machines, specifically Makino and DMG.
