About the position

R-Tech Tool & Machine is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The role involves setting up and operating production machines, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, maintain a clean and organized work area, and uphold a positive work ethic while performing tasks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines with complex alignments and adjustments.
• Inspect parts against engineering prints to ensure tolerances are maintained.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Run and complete parts using the MRP Network and clock in/out of jobs.
• Fill out quality sheets to verify part tolerances.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments like micrometers and dial calipers.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Align and secure work-holding fixtures and cutting tools onto machines.
• Study blueprints and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations.
• Conduct job hazard analysis and perform preventive maintenance on machines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Knowledge of basic machine shop vocabulary.
• Mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances.
• Experience with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
• Ability to operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MRP systems.
• Familiarity with job hazard analysis procedures.
