About the position

Adecco is seeking a reliable and skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Branford, CT. This temp-to-hire position offers great potential for long-term employment, catering to both experienced operators and those looking to expand their skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, or routers) to produce precision parts according to technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications.
  • Perform routine checks and measurements on finished products using standard measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, and gauges) to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards.
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed, and tool changes to optimize performance and meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues including misalignments, malfunctioning parts, and other technical challenges. Ensure minimal downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment while operating machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor production output and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
  • Report any quality issues, production delays, or machine malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience operating CNC machinery (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) or other machining experience.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming (editing or modifying code) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with machine controls (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) and the ability to perform basic machine setup and operations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or CNC certifications a plus.
