Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine setup and tooling requirements.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for CNC machines.
  • Write or modify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor part quality using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
  • Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for manual machining tasks.
  • Select and install appropriate tools, adjust settings, and calibrate machines for specific tasks.
  • Perform manual machining tasks with high precision to meet design specifications.
  • Inspect and verify the dimensions of machined parts using measuring instruments.
  • Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain quality and tolerances during operation.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and oiling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Manual Machinist.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and operation.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with both CNC and manual machining processes.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
