About the position
The CNC Mill Machinist position at Aerotek involves setting up and operating a Makino Horizontal mill, focusing on milling castings with precise tolerances. The role requires candidates to manage tool changes and offsets while working off prints in a clean and organized shop environment. This is a permanent, fully on-site position in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the Makino Horizontal mill.
- Create offsets and load/unload parts.
- Perform tool changes and adjust machine dynamics as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints for machining tasks.
- Occasionally use a crane to move products from the machine.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC milling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with set-ups and offsets on CNC machines.
