About the position
Machines precision made components for Parker Wellbore designed equipment using a CNC milling machine.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow quality management system requirements in the form of procedures, work instructions, etc. applicable to the position
- Interpret drawings for material call-outs, orientation of views, and identification of machined features required.
- Execute upon job router requirements for applicable machine operation(s)
- Load CNC machine programs according to part number, revision level, and machine operation
- Install tooling, secure in place, and prepare for machining
- Load work holding devices or fixtures into the machine, align, and secure in place
- Meet production throughput requirements and execute machining times as specified
- Meet quality requirements and machine parts within specified tolerances- making needed adjustments with limited assistance to; machine, program, work holding/fixture parameters as needed
- Work safely, following Safe Work Procedures, Job Safety Analysis, and other safety compliant requirements applicable to the position.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a CNC Machinist
- Technical degree from a trade school preferred
- Intermediate understanding of CNC machine controls
- Minor programming ability
- Intermediate knowledge of milling tools, including but not limited to: tool types, installation techniques, usage for specific materials, and feeds & speeds
- Work holding and fixture methods and correct installation and alignment methods
- Basic knowledge of math
- Lathe experience is a plus
Nice-to-haves
- Mill experience is a must
- Experience with Haas VF-5 XT Mill and Haas VF-7 Mill
- Experience with Mill Doosan DNM 750L/50II
