About the position

The CNC Mill Programmer at ARCH Medical Solutions is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment, interpreting technical blueprints, and programming CNC machines to optimize production processes. This role involves troubleshooting machine issues, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring quality checks on the final products. The position offers a sign-on bonus and competitive wages with benefits starting from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets technical drawings and CAD models for programming.
  • Uses CAM Software to program new and existing parts to optimize tool cutting paths.
  • Implements and maintains setup sheets for manufacturing.
  • Validates the NC code generated from the CNC program.
  • Designs fixtures/work holding fixtures for machining parts.
  • Collaborates with engineering, setup techs, and machinists on new product introduction and continuous improvement activities.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise.
  • Assists engineering, manufacturing, and quoting as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year's experience as a CNC programmer.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
  • Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
  • Understanding of the different tooling types, speeds, and feeds.
  • Experience with Gibbs Cam and/or PartMaker.
  • Experience working for a contract manufacturer.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
