About the position
Falk Precision is seeking a CNC Setup Person to join their team. This full-time position involves working with CNC vertical mills, ensuring quality production through setup, operation, and inspection of machined parts. The role is crucial for maintaining equipment and ensuring adherence to quality standards in a growing employee-owned company.
Responsibilities
- Perform full setup of CNC vertical mills.
- Load parts and operate controls, setting offsets and making simple edits.
- Deburr and inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements.
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary adjustments.
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on materials for subsequent machining.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in CNC machine setup.
- Experience with programming CNC machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Working knowledge of Cam Works.
- SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
