About the position

The CNC Operator/Programmer at Hardwood Design, Inc. is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce custom stair parts for high-end residential homes. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and effective collaboration with the manufacturing team to ensure quality production.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a CNC machine, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
• Develop CNC programs for various machining operations.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
• Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions of finished products.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production quality.
• Collaborate with the fabrication and project managing team to ensure seamless integration of machined parts into final products.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, including any changes made during the process.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices within the factory environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator/Programmer in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in CAD software for creating and modifying designs.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
