About the position

The CNC Operator position at Snap-on Inc. involves working in a factory environment to produce CNC machined products. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and efficient operation of various metalworking equipment, including CNC milling and turning machines. The operator will be responsible for ensuring productivity levels are met while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of metalworking equipment.
• Set-up machines to run product to print specifications.
• Interact with co-workers, supervisors, and management to produce quality products.
• Problem solve issues related to efficient manufacturing of quality products.
• Participate in training and development activities.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, including hazard recognition.
• Utilize correct operating procedures to manufacture quality products.
• Apply math, measuring, and blueprint reading skills to determine product specifications and quality.

Requirements

• Associate degree in manufacturing related field or 1 to 3 years experience in a machining environment.
• CNC experience required with an understanding of the CNC process and its capabilities.
• Ability to identify and use various codes and tools needed for the CNC machine.
• Mechanical aptitude in working with a variety of machines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, basic math skills, and a strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
