About the position

The CNC Operator position involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role is crucial in ensuring that the manufacturing process runs smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on precision and adherence to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate a CNC machine while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Read and understand blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
• Load feed mechanism and assist with other duties as needed.
• Plan and forecast stock needs and order materials as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; college, technical, or trade school preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience as a machine operator.
• 2+ years of experience in CNC programming preferred.
• Ability to program according to engineering drawings and understand critical dimensions for repeatability and manufacturability.
• Ability to work from rough drawings, schematic layouts, technical manuals, and general descriptions.
