About the position

The CNC Operator at Snap-on is responsible for operating and setting up CNC machines in a factory environment to produce high-quality machined products. This role requires adherence to safety procedures and collaboration with team members to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. The position offers two shifts, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of metalworking equipment
  • Set-up machines to run product to print specifications
  • Interact with co-workers, supervisors, and management to produce quality products
  • Problem solve matters relating to efficient manufacturing of quality products
  • Participate in training and development activities
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment, including hazard recognition
  • Utilize correct operating procedures to manufacture quality products
  • Apply math, measuring, and blueprint reading skills to determine product specifications and quality

Requirements

  • Associate degree in manufacturing related field or 1 to 3 years experience in a machining environment
  • Safe work behaviors
  • CNC experience required, with understanding of machine capabilities and limitations
  • Ability to identify and use various codes and tools needed for the machine
  • Mechanical aptitude in working with a variety of machines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills and good work ethic, including punctuality and attendance
  • Ability to judge quality and read blueprints
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machines
  • Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shifts
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
