About the position

The CNC Precision Grinder Programmer role involves skilled machining in a custom job shop environment, focusing on precision and excellence in manufacturing components for mission-critical industries. Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate precision grinding machines (Okuma GI-10, OD Grinders).
• Perform OD, ID, and facing operations on small, tight-tolerance parts.
• Operate manual machines (e.g., Hardinge lathes, Bridgeport mills) as needed.
• Inspect work for compliance with blueprints, GD&T specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain documentation and perform first-piece inspections.
• Perform basic preventive machine maintenance (e.g., coolant tank cleaning).

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in precision manufacturing, preferably in custom job shops.
• Familiarity with Okuma programming and manual machining preferred.
• Proven ability to work with tight tolerances (0.0002' typical).
• Experience with maraging steels (e.g., 13-8, 17-4) a plus.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
