About The Position

The CNC Programmer Level 4 position at Wyman Gordon involves developing Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programs for production machines using CAM software such as MasterCAM, Unigraphics NX, or Catia. The role requires specifying and procuring cutting tools and fixtures, creating setup sheets and documentation, and analyzing design data to determine manufacturing sequences. The programmer will also set up and administer a Direct Numeric Control (DNC) system, train operators, and consult with various stakeholders to improve processes. The position emphasizes applying lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Current Level 4 Machinists or in an engineering field.
• 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in a high volume, precision manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED; Associates degree or technical schooling preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable programming languages and CAD/CAM software.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, and ADP Applications).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Develops CNC programs for production machines using CAM software.
