About the position

AJ Associates is seeking a highly experienced CNC Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer specializing in the aerospace industry. The role involves complex 5-axis programming using the latest version of Mastercam, focusing on the production of aerospace parts and assemblies. The position requires a strong understanding of solid modeling and machining techniques, with an emphasis on precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex 5-axis programming using Mastercam.
• Create solid models using Solidworks.
• Execute multi-axis turning with live tooling.
• Establish tooling points and datum planes for forgings and castings.
• Read and interpret complicated blueprints and OEM specifications.
• Utilize high-speed machining techniques for various materials.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering.
• Proficiency in Mastercam programming.
• Experience with Solidworks solid modeling.
• Knowledge of 3 through 5-axis complex milling.
• Familiarity with horizontal and vertical machining.
• Understanding of speeds and feeds for aluminum, titanium, alloy steels, and stainless steels.
• Knowledge of tooling and insert geometries and terminologies.
• Ability to work with critical parts and tight tolerances.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with aerospace parts and assemblies.
• Familiarity with AS9100 manufacturing standards.
