About the position

A&O Mold & Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrode Designer / CNC Programmer to join their team. The role involves designing electrodes and programming CNC machines to ensure timely production while adhering to quality and ISO standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with shop floor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Confirm areas of tool steel that will require EDM burning.
• Provide workable electrode designs.
• Create CNC programs for electrodes you designed.
• Ensure that electrodes are cut in a timely manner.
• Provide shop floor with detailed burn sheets.
• Collaborate with EDM operator and tool makers.
• Perform work within quoted hours.

Requirements

• Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferably Cimatron or Visi.
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience programming CNC mills.
• Experience working with EDM sinkers and electrode designing.
