Responsibilities
- Program and set up CNC mills, specifically 5+ axis VMCs, using Fanuc controls.
- Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accuracy and quality in machined parts.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using G-Code for efficient machining operations.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to create and modify machining programs.
- Train and mentor junior machinists on best practices and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all machining operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist, with a focus on 5+ axis VMCs.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application in machining.
- Proficiency in G-Code programming and CNC tooling.
- Experience with troubleshooting CNC machines and resolving technical issues.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming and design.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
