FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Starting Wage: $30-35/hour, depending on experience Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm Location: Northbrook, IL - On-Site Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Develop a thorough understanding of the current operating system as it pertains to Production Planning duties. Develop and implement CNC programs for waterjet cutting machines. From respective planning screens, initiate the Production Planning process by reviewing Customer Sales Orders requirements that involve the use of Shop Floor machines. Assist Sales with quoting machines that require CDA Drawings to design, develop, and optimize material management. Review technical drawings and blueprints to create accurate machining plans. Understand and review inventory to ensure the best use of existing material resources. Understand and review machine capabilities to ensure the best use of Shop Floor resources. Develop the plan to bring together these three elements (Sales Order, Material & Machine) to ensure all Customer requirements are met. Enter Production Job(s) to be used by Shop Floor personnel in the completion of the planned workload. Prioritize and schedule Shop Floor workload. Work with Sales and Operations Leads to overcome spikes in workload and changes in Shop Floor resources. Collaborate with operators to troubleshoot and optimize processes. Monitor machine performance and adjust programs as needed for continuous improvement. Secondary duties assigned when applicable Required Experience: Familiarity with CNC programming or operating, especially for waterjets. CAD/CAM experience. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
